Yessica Renteria - Career Marketing II - Semester 1 & 2
Yessica Renteria is currently a senior at Plymouth High School. Throughout these four years, Renteria has gained numerous hours of volunteering experience around the community. She is currently a catechist for 3rd-grade students at St. Michael's. In 2017, Renteria received her Bilingual certificate in English and Spanish. During her last two years of high school, she has gained tremendous hands-on experience in her career marketing class creating social media content on various platforms. Renteria has covered countless K-12 events happening during and outside of school hours. She has learned how to write detailed active posts to market the content she has covered. Many of her articles have been published on the school corporation's website. Several local media outlets have used her articles and photos as news content for their sites as well. Renteria’s work has also been featured in the Pilot News Newspaper.
She is familiar with writing published articles as well as her work has been included in the 2018 summer edition of The Plymouth Pilgrimage.
In 2017 Renteria received special recognition at a schoolwide assembly for being recognized as the most dedicated career marketing student. Through her work in the program, she has discovered how passionate she is with photography, and plans continue taking photos as a future hobby.
After high school, Renteria plans on studying dental hygiene at Indiana University South Bend. However, she plans on minoring in mass communication. Renteria says she truly enjoy engaging as a team player helping in every aspect, from shooting video, making graphics, covering events, writing articles, to being in front of the camera. The skills that she has learned in career marketing are diverse, and she enjoys collaborating with her peers as a member of the Plymouth schools marketing team.
